Parking on the main street and side streets is reserved for customers and is free for up to one hour on the main street and up to two hours on side streets.

Downtown tenants can purchase parking permits for the parking decks from the City of Houghton Police Department. Parking permits are sold monthly, quarterly, or for a full year. Passes are also available for night only or for 24 hour parking. For more information please call the Police Department at 482-2121.


Public Transit

The City of Houghton transit system is available Monday - Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. providing bus service both inside and outside the City limits. Demand service and a Downtowner Route are available. The system runs extra hours when Michigan Tech is in session. Please call 482-1700 for rates and more information.
